I've been playing since the second BWE, and I've consistantly bought the preorder and game packages on release dates. Addicted to GW, and though I sometimes take 1 week breaks when things get hectic, I don't think I'll quit anytime soon. Maybe keep going for 1-2 more game releases at the very least.

Been around since Early Stages of Beta, started playing non-stop on release, have bought both expansions but now only play maybe twice a week.

I started a few weeks after the release. I've been at it streadily ever since.

Started about 1 month after the release, I caught up to the rest easily enough. Heh I just miss how not everything was so cookie cutter.

Since the Beta Weekend Events, back when it was fun.

When we looked forward to updates with excitement rather than dreading them. We didn't need cookie cutter solo builds because farming for Runes and Gold drops was easy.

It all seems to have run it course, I think we are on the downhill slope. But hey, they stopped the botters and EBay'rs... NOT

-Since the WPE.
-Every beta weekend.
-The Korean beta.

The game is still fun because I got so my real life friends into it (through A LOT of persuasion). Not like the old days.

Kinda went downhill with Factions and Nightfall is beginning to renew the fun. Same story as a buncha other people here.

I'll continue to support ArenaNet with preorders & collectors editions as of now.

I have bought all three chapters the day of their release and still play regularly on my days off, 60 hour work weeks suck.

Played in 3 of the 4 final bwe events and picked up the CE editions of each game since.

I will take a break (a few weeks to a month) every now and then.

I got mine at the end of may, the first year. I still love it and look forward to each new chapter. I will admit tho, I don't spend as much time playing that I did at first.

Played it since one of the early BWE's.

I quit just after factions for 6 months, but back now.

Played quite a few games inbetween then and now, including WoW, CoH etc.

No game currently can match GW's balance and time spent vs game progress ratio.
Wont be quitting again any time soon.

I too miss the old days, many things should be brought back imo, such as attrib point refunds etc, but meh.. life goes on.

Me! Me! Oooh pick me!

BWE Prophecies pre-order!

I think the game has lost something along the way too... not sure what, though. The sense of community is completely different, I guess. The kind of friendly/helpful random players you used to meet along the way doesn't happen so much anymore, which is sad.

There's still a lot to like, though, so I still play.

I've been here since 3 weeks after retail, took a 5 month break and came back more eager, with factions coming out.

Its great to see all these vets here, but I feel (and see) more leaving everyday for other games, ones that have things that are more repeatable and fun.

Although Gw is a very fun game, and hats off to Anet, I feel that many of us won't be around much longer. Theres only so many ways to kill something.

I personally feel that if the next game introduces little to no new TYPES of gameplay, I will quit. No point doing the same thing over and over again...I want something different....and fast. I think most of us feel the same way about this, theres too little after you finish the game besides either making a new char or titles, or PvP. Its not enough to keep me interested for much longer.

Since I started, OVER HALF of the people I know quit the game after simply finishing the campaign. I ask them why, and they say "Guild Wars has no game after the campaign, theres too little to make it fun to do everyday". I of course felt differen't and did almost everything in factions, prophecies and elona. Its fun, but its the same thing over and over again.

I'm sad to say that most of us won't be around much longer if NO new gameplay is introduced. Guild Wars needs to find something, who cares if its fishing or any RL skills, its better than nothing, and this game needs it if it wants to be considered an MMO. I hate comparing this game to WoW other MMO's (because I love gw) but is it the slightest chance, that maybe all the other games have what they are doing right, and Guild Wars is the oddball of the group? Of course, one might argue Guild Wars doesn't have a subscription, but plenty of games have endgame content and are totally free. I don't mean grinding levels (level 20 is fine with me), but I wouldn't mind 1 team making a new expansions and the other making new campaigns. In short, Anets idea of a selling strategy works, but not that good in my opinion, they sell, but never again to they make expansions to new areas. If thats what the players want, give that to them instead of making 2 campaigns a year.

And for gods sake.... CONNECT THE MAPS. Its like living in a fragmented world where you can't tell where anything is. At least make it an option so it feels like an MMO and not like you start a new campaign on a totally differen't planet.

I feel that if something doesn't change in this game, most of us will go from being vets to simply changing games, its not enough for an MMO in my opinion, not anymore. How long I stay depends on C4, if its boring and exactly the as the last 3 have been with slight varientions, I'm quitting.

Although in spite of all this, I feel Anet really has something good for us for C4, lets all hope they did something better for this new chapter, and will inspire us all to continue playing. I know Anet has the outmost potential to make this an even better game.

Yes, we are all Vets, but for how much longer?

I picked up a copy about a week after release. I took a few breaks here and there. I got into it pretty seriously after a point, and it has been my main game since a few months beforre factions. Looking back at the old screenshots, it's amazing how little I understood about the game. I think I have a pic of me running a build with about 5 attributes in it. And I have a ton of pics from when my guild got a hall, because they were really expensive...good times..
